Pink Panther: Logotypes & Typefaces

For this book, I explored the creation of various typefaces under one design direction, all inspired by the original Pink Panther series. Below you’ll see my design process, as well as my final iteration of 24 custom logotypes & typefaces.

Growing up and going to my grandparents house every Spring & Summer, I would watch their DVD set of Peter Sellers’ ‘Pink Panther’ movies. I was drawn in by the case design of the panther and typeface, something that always stuck with me in my design thinking. I’ve always found typography to be both clever yet intelligent, it felt as though having the Pink Panther himself interact with the typefaces could embody just that. I had such fun working on this meticulous project, I hope you have just as fun scrolling through.
